Job Summary

  • Dangote Cement is looking for a Store Specialist, Receiving to oversee and manage all receiving operations at the Obajana Plant, ensuring the timely, safe, and accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming materials, spare parts, and consumables in compliance with Dangote Cement policies, HSE standards, and stores procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day receiving operations: offloading, checking, inspection, weighing, and acceptance of materials.

  • Vehicle Tracking Officer is responsible for maintaining the system’s database for the tracking system used by the department to monitor vehicles & drivers from their assigned stations, with a view to detect and report violations and also collate and update data for compilation of various staff reports.

Responsibilities
Operational & Functional:

  • Look after the Tracking Station Equipment assigned to the officer during his/her shift.
  • Use the Nova Track Application and its new versions, which entails knowledge of the various tabs/tools which assist in tracking vehicles and accessing different types of reports.
  • Master the use of MS Excel and Power Point Presentation.
  • Collate information for database in respect to the location and identification of vehicles and destinations.
  • Provides on-demand detailed staff & operational reports related to movement of vehicles during haulage operations.
  • Compile Investigation Reports for cases as submitted by the management.
  • Strive towards improving their management skills by manning stations related to the command and control of the control room etc.
  • Ensure compliance to all policies, procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), with recommendations for action and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with company regulations by drivers.
  • Contributing to the overall performance of the service through the execution of the target objectives set for it.
  • Participate in all performance appraisals organized in the organization (mid-year and end-of-year review of the PMS).
  • Attend training courses organized to strengthen skills.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Unit Head.

QSE Responsibilities:

  • Know and fully apply DCC’s QHSE requirements, policies, procedures.
  • Take care of his own health and safety in the workplace and ensure that acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of other people.
  • Take appropriate measures to minimize risks to quality, health and the environment.
  • Communicate any case of hazardous situation to the Top management or QSE representative.
  • Engage in the QHSE system by organizing all mandatory training and awareness
  • Propose and carry out improvement, corrective and/or preventive actions.

Description

  • The Fuel Receipt Officer is responsible for overseeing the supply, storage, and distribution of fuel within the cement plant.
  • This role ensures that fuel is efficiently received, stored, and utilized to maintain continuous operations and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities
Fuel Supply & Distribution Management:

  • Timely confirmation and passage of trucks, monitor the receipt, storage, and distribution of fuel (e.g., diesel, LPFO, gas, or alternative fuels) within the plant.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and plant operations to ensure an uninterrupted fuel supply.
  • Ensure that all fuel deliveries match quality and quantity specifications before offloading.

Inventory Control & Reconciliation:

  • Maintain accurate fuel stock records and ensure proper tracking of fuel movement.
  • Reconcile fuel received vs. consumed to prevent shortages, theft, or wastage.
  • Work with finance teams to verify invoices, payments, and supplier records.

Compliance & Safety Monitoring:

  • Truck Unloading & Storage Management – Oversee the safe and efficient unloading of AGO from trucks into storage tanks.
  • Inventory Monitoring & Control – Track AGO stock levels, prevent shortages, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Compliance & Safety Regulations – Adhere to HSE policies, regulatory standards, and safe handling of petroleum products.
  • Equipment & Facility Maintenance – Ensure pumps, pipelines, valves, and storage tanks are in optimal working condition.
  • Coordination & Scheduling – Manage truck arrivals, unloading timelines, and communication with suppliers.
  • Data Analysis, Reporting, and Documentation – Monitor AGO unloading, usage, losses, and operational efficiency through regular reporting.
